ABOUT US

United in Purpose. United in Service.

International Hope Builders (IHB) is a faith-driven 501(c)(3) founded by Harold and Lana Patterson - long time residential and commercial builders from Colorado.

Answering a call to serve the poor, widows, and children, they began organizing volunteer trips in the early 2010s to bring shelter, dignity, and hope to families in need of life-saving shelter.

In 2012, IHB secured the global license for Lazarian World Home’s innovative building technology, completing its first Honduran home in 2014 and proving that faster, more affordable construction could transform entire communities.

Since then, IHB has grown into a movement of compassion, partnering with donors, local leaders, and global organizations like Project C.U.R.E., World Vision, and Habitat for Humanity.

To date, the mission has delivered 330+ homes, 19 schools, and 4 medical clinics—serving thousands who once lacked shelter, education, and healthcare.

With 100% volunteer teams traveling to Honduras, IHB continues to put love into action—expanding safe housing, education, and medical care - one life-changing build at a time!

Our Commitment

Our patented building process and a community of crazy givers with a  passionate commitment to serve those in greatest need is how we deliver hope, save lives, and change communities.

One home, school, church, clinic at a time . . .
